Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WoWSnapShots (“the service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don’t use it.

What WoWSnapShots is

WoWSnapShots is a free, fan-made projectthat turns a World of Warcraft character’s public history into cinematic profiles and memory videos. It is currently in an invite-only beta.

Not affiliated with Blizzard

WoWSnapShots is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.World of Warcraft, Battle.net, and related names and imagery are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment. We use Blizzard’s public World of Warcraft API and Battle.net sign-in, and we aim to operate within Blizzard’s API terms and Fan Content Policy. All game content and character data belong to Blizzard and/or their respective owners.

Battle.net sign-in

Signing in is optional and handled by Battle.net OAuth. You are responsible for your Battle.net account and for complying with Blizzard’s terms. By signing in, you authorize us to access your public WoW profile data through the scopes you grant. You can revoke that access at any time in your Battle.net account settings. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we receive.

Beta disclaimer

The service is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and data (including saved snapshots and videos) may be reset or deleted during the beta. Availability is not guaranteed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• abuse, scrape, or place automated/bulk load on the service beyond normal personal use;
• attack, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
• circumvent the invite gate, rate limits, or other access controls;
• use the service to infringe others’ rights or for any unlawful purpose;
• misrepresent the service as official or affiliated with Blizzard.

Cost

WoWSnapShots is a free, non-commercial fan project. Every feature is unlocked for everyone, free, with no plans, tiers, or prices. We do not collect payments of any kind.

Your content and data

Game and character data remain subject to Blizzard’s rights. The WoWSnapShots site, code, and branding are ours. You grant us the permission needed to process your data solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

As-is, no warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that data shown is accurate, complete, or continuously available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WoWSnapShots and the person(s) who make it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or end access to the service (in whole or in part) at any time, including for misuse. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from account settings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
